I had the honor to open the” HerPower Dine for Cause” charity event for Women’s Foundation of Pakistan on December 17th, 2016 . This event was a networking event where people had an opportunity to hear from multifaceted women who discussed the importance of sisterhood. I love what this organization stands for and I was honored to be a part of it. I stand by women empowerment and this organization is all about that. I try getting involved in such events and organizations that help make difference in the community because at the end of the day it only takes one person to make a difference. There were several topics discussed at this event such as women empowering women, women empowerment in general and my personal favorite speech was about Dowry System. I absolutely hate the “Dowry System” and yes I know Hate is a strong word but I know I am using it wisely. I hope there will be a day when people would stop asking for it. Even if its banned in India, families still suffer.
